Excercise
You are never too young or too old to improve the health of your bones. Exercise is critical to keeping your bones strong and supportive. Exercise improves cardio-vascular fitness, aerobic capacity, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
If you have osteoporosis, you should take advice from your doctor before you commence an exercise regime.
You should avoid:
- High impact exercise
- Jarring and twisting movements
- Extremes of movement or sudden movement
- Abdominal situps
- Heavy lifting
